Frederic James specialises in sourcing, preparing, and supplying classic and performance vehicles. Our services may include inspection, documentation, importation, registration, and delivery, depending on the client’s requirements. Any additional services not expressly detailed on our website or in writing must be agreed separately.

3. Sourcing & Commission
When acting on behalf of a client to source a vehicle, Frederic James charges a commission of 10% of the gross vehicle cost. This commission is payable in line with the sourcing agreement agreed before purchase. Clients acknowledge that this fee is in addition to the purchase price of the vehicle and any related importation or registration charges.

4. Importation, Fees & Taxes
Frederic James manages the full importation process on behalf of clients, including customs clearance, registration, and associated documentation. While every effort is made to provide accurate estimates of duties, taxes, and registration fees prior to purchase, these costs are set by external authorities and remain outside our control. As such, they are subject to change without notice and may vary by jurisdiction, vehicle type, and timing. Clients acknowledge that final charges may differ from initial estimates, and Frederic James cannot be held liable for such variations.

5. Warranty & Delivery
Every vehicle supplied by Frederic James includes a delivery warranty, ensuring that it arrives in the agreed condition and as described at the point of sale. This warranty does not extend to mechanical issues arising after delivery, wear and tear, or issues unrelated to the sourcing and delivery process. Any extended warranties must be agreed in writing before purchase.

6. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate information during the sourcing process, ensuring timely payment of invoices, and complying with local laws regarding registration and ownership of vehicles. Failure to meet these obligations may result in delays or additional costs, for which Frederic James accepts no liability.

7. Limitation of Liability
Frederic James will not be held liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, or delays caused by external authorities, shipping companies, customs agencies, or other third parties beyond our control. Our liability is strictly limited to the services we directly provide and the fees we have charged.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

For matters relating to vehicle registration and services conducted within Northern Ireland, the applicable law of Northern Ireland shall apply. For services performed within the European Union, including but not limited to Spain, Portugal, and France, these Terms & Conditions shall also be interpreted in line with mandatory local consumer protection laws. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales, save where mandatory local law in the European Union requires otherwise.
